It’s easy to think that if you’re going to Disneyland that the only top-rated attraction that you should go to or even consider is Disneyland itself. You really can’t be blamed for thinking along those lines because, let’s face it, if you have one day to see Disneyland in all its glory and all its distinctive charms and attractions, that day is simply not going to be enough. We will provide the answers to Some of the Top-Rated Attractions in Anaheim!
Of course, we define a day as 12 hours. Those 12 hours are going to go quickly especially if you don’t have a serious plan for exploring everything that Disneyland has to offer and, unfortunately, a lot of people find themselves in the exact same predicament as you.
They go in, they’re pumped up about seeing Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, and the whole gang. But the problem is, as soon they go in, the kids rush to the memorabilia or toy store kiosk, another one goes to the bathroom or goes to the food concession, so everybody is pretty much confused on where to go or they’re simply trailing each other. Before you know it, 30 minutes turns into an hour, an hour turns into two hours, two hours turn into four hours and, before everything is said and done, it turns out that you were only able to see three attractions and maybe three of the rides, if you’re lucky.
Well, don’t feel too bad. Even though you have spent hundreds of dollars planning out this trip, but you saw only a tiny fraction of Disneyland, your situation is all too common. There are just too many things to see in Disneyland. It’s no surprise, then, that a lot of people define local attractions in Anaheim as strictly having to do with the park, because they’re having a tough time even managing to see everything that Disneyland has to offer. A day is simply not enough.
The point is that Disneyland is just too big, and it will eat up your vacation days if you don’t set a plan of visiting other places. It’s important to not get hung up on exhausting all the rides and attractions in Disneyland. Realize and accept that it was built to be visited multiples times in your life. There will be lots of opportunities to coming back.
Now, even if you had two days, if you don’t have a plan or a strategy for seeing all the places that you are interested in, it’s just not going to happen. You probably would need a week if you are that disorganized.
With that said, please understand that as awesome as Disneyland may be, there is a lot more to Anaheim than just the Magic Kingdom. I know it’s hard to believe. It is quite mindboggling because a lot of people have this idea in their heads that Anaheim and Disneyland are pretty much one and the same.
This comes from the longstanding idea that Anaheim just became a town because Disneyland was built. That’s wrong. Anaheim has been in place before Disneyland came to be, and Anaheim will continue to be around long after Disneyland shuts down for whatever reason. While there’s almost no chance of that happening, you should get my point. Anaheim has its own distinct personality, culture and history.
So, if you are looking for top attractions in Anaheim, you have a lot to select from. It’s not just all about Disneyland and anything related to Disneyland. You can turn your back on that because there are a lot of other things going in Anaheim and the surrounding areas. In fact, the reality about Disneyland having too much to offer you is true for Anaheim as well. It has a lot to show you and a day will also not be enough to visit all of it. The key really is to plan to visit as much as you can with the time and resources that you have and then execute.
Here are just some of the most common itineraries people use. Please understand that this is a mix of attractions both within Anaheim proper and surrounding regions. The most far-flung places here are in Los Angeles, which is just really a hop, skip, and a jump away.
The way Southern California has been laid out is that everything can be reached through the freeway system. If you start out in Anaheim, you just need to get on the freeway, and you will easily find yourself in Los Angeles. Other places that you wish to visit can all be reached via the freeway as well.
