Disneyland Tips For First Time Visitors
It is possible to maximize your time at Disneyland while savoring every moment of its enchantment. You only need a little faith, trust, and a sprinkle of pixie dust to get the most out of your stay at Disney World.
For your next Disneyland vacation, here are 21 of the most time and money-saving ideas. In particular, the following article also shares some tips for you to rent cheap rooms Anaheim, minimizing the cost of your trip!
1. Save Money on Tickets and Hotel
Many first-time Disneyland guests are unaware that buying tickets from authorized retailers can save them money! Depending on the season, you can save up to $20 for each ticket. Get Away Today, our preferred travel partner, can also save you money on hotels. Some hotels provide complimentary nights, breakfast, parking, and other advantages to customers who book via this fantastic travel agency. See why you should utilize Get Away Today in my Get Away Today review.
2. Save Money on cheap rooms Anaheim
Booking cheap rooms Anaheim is a good idea if you plan on visiting Disneyland. Both Disneyland and Downtown Disney are convenient for us. Visitors can enter Disneyland or Disney California Adventure one hour before the general public does. Having your FastPass options preloaded allows you to travel further into the park. You can walk or take a free shuttle from the cheap rooms Anaheim near Disneyland to go to the park.
3. Download the Disneyland App
It’s a great way to get a feel for the resort before you even get there. Take a look at the park map on the Disneyland app to get a sense of where everything is. Make dining reservations, locate characters, and more with the Disneyland mobile application. It’s a necessity!
4. Buy a Park Hopper Ticket
If you’re planning on visiting both Disneyland and California Adventure, a park hopper ticket is a must. The cost of a park hopper ticket is well worth it because you can easily park hop between the two theme parks. With just a few days at the parks, this is especially important.
5. Plan Your Day
Before your trip, set aside some time to talk about what everyone wants to do. Set up a general or detailed plan of what attractions you want to see when you arrive in the city. As a result, the day will not be slowed down by lengthy discussions and head-scratching after each ride. Our Disneyland and Disney California Adventure morning tour plans are available.
6. Use Mobile Ordering
Using the Disneyland app, you can avoid long lines by using mobile ordering at select locations. Especially when it comes to cult classics like the dole whip!
You can also book cheap rooms Anaheim at apps on your phone, but I think you should book rooms at reputable websites to save money and enjoy many incentives. One of my favorite booking rooms when visiting Disneyland is RoomAnaheim.
7. Pick a Time of Year that Works for You
Determine which time of year works best for you using our Disneyland crowd calendar. The holidays are a great time to visit. Halloween? Is it during the summer? It’s important to know what to expect during the time of year you plan to visit.
8. Arrive Early and Rope Drop
For a good location in line for rope drop, arrive at least 45 minutes before park opening. The park will open 15-30 minutes early, and the lands will be roped off until the park officially opens. It means you can walk straight up to some of your favorite attractions. Attractions with long queues can be avoided by visiting early. If you arrive early enough, you can ride the most popular rides before lunch.
9. Buy Disney Gift Cards at Target to Save 5%
You get a 5% discount on all purchases at Target if you have the Target Red Card. Also, Disney gift cards can be utilized. One of the ways I save money at Disneyland is by using gift cards for all of our meals and shopping. While it may not seem like much at first, the savings will build up when you take into account your dining and shopping habits. Debit and credit card options are available on the Target Red Card.
10. Save the Shopping for the End of the Day
Although Disneyland’s shopping is fantastic, the constant weight of shopping bags can be a nuisance. If you want to keep your goods safe, you can rent a locker, or you can wait until the end of the day to do your shopping. Then, you go back to the cheap rooms Anaheim to rest and store your belongings. Businesses on Main Street stay open an extra hour after the park closes to give tourists one last chance to do their shopping before leaving.
11. Learn about Rider Switch and Single Rider
Certain rides allow customers with little children who do not fulfill the height criteria to Riders Switch. After then, the second parent can ride without having to wait in line twice. Single Riders can circumvent huge lines at popular attractions. If you don’t mind not sitting with your group, you can skip to the front of the line. Cast members utilize this line to fill ride vehicle gaps. Many popular rides at both parks allow single riders.
12. Do the Character Dining
First-time visitors should definitely try a character dining dinner, especially if they have children! It’s the Plaza Inn’s historical feel and the array of characters that make Breakfast with Minnie and Friends my favorite at Disneyland. Character dining meals are a terrific opportunity to encounter characters in one location and avoid the hassle of searching for them later in the parks.
13. Take a Break When You Can
Taking a break in the afternoons is a terrific way to recharge your group for the evening. Return to the cheap rooms Anaheim when the heat is at its fiercest and the throng are at their densest. Disney is magical but overwhelming. If you’re only there for a day or two, find a quiet spot in the park to relax and enjoy the scenery. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln on Main Street is a calm and cool fan favorite. Taking a break can help a group that is overstimulated and exhausted in the afternoon.
14. Make Dining Reservations for Popular Restaurants
Reservations can be made online or by phone up to 60 days in advance for guests visiting the Disneyland Resort. No penalty fee of $10 per person is imposed if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If you wish to dine at Blue Bayou or Lamplight Lounge, you’ll need a reservation to avoid a long wait.
15. Wear Comfortable Clothes
Wear comfy clothes because you will be exercising a lot during your Disneyland visit. It’s not uncommon for people to walk 8-10 miles in a day at the parks. Wear walking shoes and carry extras in case your feet grow sore. Comfortable clothes are also vital for remaining cool in hot weather and navigating the rides. Make sure your kids are wearing well-worn shoes, as their small legs will be doing double the walking.
16. Come Prepared to Save Money
It’s easy to overspend at Disneyland, but there are plenty of ways to save money. Be prepared with expensive products like sunscreen, portable fans, cooling cloths, medicine, refreshments, etc. To avoid overpaying for light-up products at nighttime concerts, stock up on glow sticks and other light-up toys at the Dollar Store. Keep these handy for when the kids start watching the nighttime merchant carts. You can also order goods online and have them delivered to your cheap rooms Anaheim or make a short supermarket run before you arrive.
17. Watch Shows in the Afternoon
The afternoons are a terrific time to take advantage of all the great entertainment options at Disneyland. After lunch, take a break from the activities and go see a show.
18. Check the Height Requirements
When youngsters realize they don’t measure up to the ride they’ve been looking forward to for a long time, they have a breakdown! Make sure to check the height requirements so that you can prepare children who may not be able to ride. There is no point in having any surprises that could lead to unpleasant occasions. If your child isn’t tall enough, the cast will make sure to tell you.
19. Plan a Beach Day
For visitors from out of state, a trip to the beach is a must! Some of Southern California’s most gorgeous beaches are only a short drive away from Disneyland and cheap rooms Anaheim. If you don’t want to drive, you can take an Uber or one of the many nearby car rental businesses. Consider scheduling a beach day in the middle of your vacation so that you can enjoy a peaceful day away from the commotion and bustle of Disney World.
20. Use Dining Packages to Avoid Crowds
Some of the most popular nighttime shows, such as Fantasmic! and World of Color, have dining packages that include reserved seats. Add a meal package if you’re already planning to dine at one of these restaurants, and you’ll be guaranteed an excellent seat for a show. The Blue Bayou with reserved seating for Fantasmic! is my favorite dining option. We have access to some of the best meals and best seats in the house. Even though this can be an expensive option, many visitors enjoy it.
21. Use PhotoPass for a Great Family Picture
At Disneyland, PhotoPass is a photographic service that every visitor should take advantage of at least once. There are PhotoPass photographers in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and Main Street U.S.A. to capture your memories. Your photos will be available for limitless downloads if you purchase the MaxPass option. If you’re a fan of Tinkerbell, Pixar characters, or the Cheshire Cat, you may request a ‘Magic Shot’ from a PhotoPass photographer, where they’ll add some magic to your photos.
